LED Tail Lights

I am designing a new project (not Locost though) and can't find any suitable LED tail lights. I am looking for the classic Ferrariesque round type about 125mm or larger, but not the commonly used 'hamburger or pork pie' jobbies.

Any pics or links would be appreciated

Cheers,
Raz

If its just for a one off, can you not make your own?

A nice bit of photo etch board and some LEDs soldered in would do the job

What about the beautiful Hella Ultrabright mix n' match LEDs? Available at SVC, about half way down the page.

Not sure if these count as "pork pie" like mind!? They wouldn't look out of place on a Ferrari anyhow.

replica.

why not give a replica company a call and get the 355 ones.

exact replicas
extreme replicas
dna

and a few others do the 355 parts i thinks.

get the rear lights from them if any have the copies.

i think extreme only have originals. im half way through building the 360 replica on my old PUG.

Some good ideas coming in guys

Just a quickie reply .....

tegwin - PCBs will always look home made IMO and it is the lenses that really make the light look 'proper'

MikeFellows - Too small for my project but interesting

AdamR - While the Hella lights are very nice and well made, they have been done to death now and I need something a bit different.

Dunk3 - I also saw those and they are close to what I need but a little too 'all in one' if you know what I mean - I would prefer one light for stop / tail and another for indicator / tail.

matt_gsxr & TSS - That's more like it - very classy but I suspect getting hold of a set will be difficult to say the least.

Jossey - thanks for the tip - I'll have a look . *edit* Sadly all of the replica lights appear to be conventional filament bulbs and not LED
