what alternator for zetec

i've built a locost with a 1.8 zetec whats the best alternator to use for this conversion??

Depending on how much room, probably a pinto one or a little Jap one off a Micra or whatever.

I have a small Brise unit on mine.

We used the orginal one on our crossflow. Works well with a home made bracket and a race battery.

What ever you can lay your hands on that has a multi V pulley.

Ive used sierra Dohc, Denso, mk3 escort, R5 Turbo.

Or you can buy a bolt on kit if you want to spend some wedge. like £200 worth of wedge

i used a small micra alternator when i buit a zetec car,have a look at this lot........
