My old air cooled Citroen GSA had a quite effective heater / deminster that just took hot air off the exhaust manifold with a fan to direct it into
the car.
Would be dead easy to do in a Seven.

The old beetles had this too. Killed a few owners if you believe the stories. Due to exhaust fumes channeled into the cab when the exhaust gets
leaky...

I've got 2 electric fan heaters so I've voted accordingly. They're good enough to pass the test and saved complicating the cooling
system (no standard outlet for heater on a bike engine).
If I was building with a Zetec though I'd probably go with the Polo as it fits the Fury scuttle pretty well (had one and changed plans).

I bought one of those plug in type heaters from CBS. No idea if it works but it is light, small, and cheap. When I need it I can velcro it to the
centre panel by the passenger's knee
