VX220 Stack Dash Fitment...
Booger... went to edit the last post on the previous thread and ended up deleting the whole bally lot it in error! Space Cadet!
Anyway... my dash arrived. Came from a 2002 VX220.

I've looked at the few VX220 dash transplants on the web, but all the instruments differ from mine! Not too fussed about the face - it's
the back where it's at!

Only 1 connector-slot instead of the 2 on all the other threads!
I'm trawling away trying to find any tech docs with the numbers on the back of the unit. I also found the following numbers inside the casing
(along with two silica gel sachets!):
ST9100
ST100097
97-005
LC01-20
They're not flagging up anything on Google either!
Not a disaster as I'm hoping this is one of the 'old' units like the ones they used on the S1 Elise - makes things easier if it is, but
just have to confirm it!

Thats a genuine stack dash, my VX220 was a 'non branded one' with a tornado name on the back.
This is the info I got from the SELOC site:
You basically have 3 options for 'non-STACK' dash units:
- Late S2 Elise rover engine (part number A117....)
- VX220 Turbo (part number A116...)
- S2 Elise Toyota engine (part number A120...)
The first 3 should have 1 plug on the back and have discrete inputs for the various gauges/lights. RPM range to 8000 for the Elise. Not sure for the
VXT (7500?)
The Toyota version has CAN input and needs to be hooked up to an ECU with the proper CAN data port. RPM range to 9 or 10000 rpm on the dial.
Heres the wiring diagram I used

Dave, you are right, but as Scootz said it was from a 2002 220, and the Turbo wasn't out then, I assumed he knew it was from a
NA..........
Soz Scootzie, my bad ..... I should have confirmed ....

Maybe not!
The lads and lasses at VX220.org reckon the one I have still receives PWM signals

I've ordered an Elise S1 cluster as it has the 'normal' signals.
Sooooo the VX220 one is available to anyone with a more electronically-gifted disposition than I?

Let me get this right Scotty....You've bought something, didn't use it and now you're selling it again at a loss??
There's something about that that rings a bell?
Just can't put my finger on it.......

Arrived today - a bit more expensive than the VX220 dash (£185 v £125), but it comes with a harness and crucially... I CAN GET IT TO WORK!
Had a look at the original 'Lotus' price for the part... £1600
Anyway, I plan to find some material that matches the fascia and blank over the Lotus name and the seat-belt / cat-overheat tell-tales.
Will then see if I can use the alarm tell-tale to come on as a shift-light.
