turning cable through 90 degrees
Morning all
Small problem which hopefully someone here can assist with. I've got a couple of small light units I'm thinking of fitting to the car.
I've decided on the best position for mounting them though there is a small problem stopping me. The cable for the light comes straight out of
the rear of the unit, to fit it in the desired location it would need to turn through 90 degrees straight after exiting the light. I can only get a
radius bend of about 15mm which is slightly too large to allow perfect fitment.
Is there any piece of electrical kit that will allow me to wire and then turn through 90 degrees making the bend radius smaller (like a chocblock but
with connections at 90 degrees to each other) or alternatively anyway I can create a smaller bend radius in the cable (any tricks or tips)
Any assistance as always much appreciated.

You can get 90deg spade connectors, but is it spades on the light unit?

Cut away some of the insulation on the inside of the bend (not completely obviously) to allow a tighter radius, or depending on the cable type, remove
the outer sheath completely.

cheers all, no photo at the mo I'm afraid. Basically it's a small LED unit which is wired internally and then exits the unit. I know
that there are two wires inside that are individually insualted but wasn't sure if it was acceptable to remove the outer sheath for some reason
unknown to me.

Doesn't need to be double insulated on 12vdc in a car. Just make sure there is no chaffing on anything.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!
