Metro wiring
Here is one for any metro people out there, British Trident? I have a GTM K3 which is mostly a metro 114 gti Last night after I had stopped for a
short time then re-started, I had sidelights but no dipped headlights, (didn’t try mains) no heater fan, no radio, fuel gauge didn’t work, rest of
the instruments did. As I was in town I drove home, when I returned there was a slight chattering sound from what could have been the relays. I turned
it off waited a short time turned it on again and all seemed well. Looking at the wiring diagram there is a dip/dim relay in the system which is
described by Mr. Haynes but I don't quite understand what it does, I was wondering if it may have someting to do with the fault. Thanks
Phoned the local ramblers club today, but the bloke who answered just
went on and on.
