SPEEDO
can anyone tell me how they have mounted their pick up for their electronic speedo.the loom i have got has the wiring for the pick up in the diff
area. the drive shafts are the push in type so there are no bolt heads to pick up a signal from.where does the pick up receive a signal from?
thanks in advance.

I have thought about this one for a while, most people fix frige magnets to various parts of their turning drive train. Many have problems with the
sensors becoming confused by the revs.
Is there any reason why you should not butcher the old speedo cable, fix magnets to the bleeding stubby end and run the sensor from that? It seems the
ideal solution?
PS I'm using standard cable and sierra instruments, so perhaps I am looking at it too simplistically
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

conrod, are your magnets mounted on the drive shaft or on the prop ? I've been looking at the diff end of the drive shaft on my lobro joint as
a possible place to mount mine. Always wondered if after having your prop balanced if then attaching magnets to it might alter this balance in any way
?
(PS my sensor isn't one that works with the bolt heads)

on a drive shaft joint, jus need a bracket to hold sender and play with the number of magnets.
if your rev counter is accurate you can work out your revs/mph with a chart somewhere on here, make sure both wheels are turning at the same speed

ps it's a LSD so in theory both wheels should be turning at simlar speeds

Depends whether you're building a BEC or CEC. Using original clocks and senders... or getting after market items surely. We adapted the pickup
on our BEC by placing a wheel onto the sender and manufacturing a bracket to spin it off the drive shaft - correct the error with a
"Speedohealer". All this was using original sender and original bike clocks.
