How big is a 52mm gauge?
I know it sounds stupid but how big are Racetech 52mm gauges? I'm just building my dash and need to cut the holes but haven't bought the
gauges yet! Is the hole 52mm?
Ta in advance

I believe that it's a 52mm hole! (or 2", if you prefer). The actual rim will be a little wider.
Please take further advise before committing to a design though...

I've just drilled my dash for a Racetech coolant gauge with a 51mm hole drill. Had to go round with the Dremel a bit to get it in.

I've a box full of 52mm gauges, the bodies are all 51.6mm and the outer bezel is 56mm, so you know the minimum spacing.

Thanks guys - out with the 2" hole saw then! It's ply so I can sand the holes out to 52mm.

Many hole saws cut a bit over-size, so you may get close first time!

I wouldn't dress the holes until you have the gauges, then you can be sure of a nice snug fit.
