Are they "E" marked??
Are they the correct distance inboard from the widest part of the car?
Are they the correct height?

Other than that, they look a bit small to me. I would want my signals to be seen (Rather than be seen as "cool"

Nice spoiler ... Just hope you dont have any traffic calming schemes like ours in your area.

yep less than 400mm from the extreme outer edge, and more than 350mm from the ground.
LED, and VERY bright

not E marked, but have DOT marking, and the IVA doesn't mention any need for any markins for some reason anyway.
will be connecting them up to the transformer tonight to see how bright they are.

theres a few speed bumps round here lol. not many though. certainly not any you have to drive over. there was a guy round here with a corsa and his front was a similar height. he seemed to do fine. will be considering nitrams hydraulic systems when the car's all legal.

that garage floors a bit misleading. 12" before the edge, it slopes up a bit, so its actually not as low as it looks

I was under the impression that all liights had to be e2 marked,
that was my assumption when i built my car to SVA rules,

Surely IVA is more stringent

i'd have thought so, but i checked the manual over and over, and can't find a mention of e marking for lights, unless i'm missing it by looking too hard lol.
i seem to remember from SVA they said E marked otherwised tested to equivalent standard. so even then i don't think it was essential.

i think IVA was made to make things more up to the tester, but he can't say it should be e marked if the manual doesn't say so, surely?

and isn't the '2' out of 'E2' the code of the country that approved the particular part?

Hi Blake

Pretty sure the indicators are the ones we use for side repeaters. "E" marking is only a requirement on the rear foglight, none of the others. Don't think the sidelights are an issue, but I think the indicators will be, as i say we use these as side repeaters & as such they are fine, but i don't think light will be powerful enough for an indicator (as a comparison sidelight & repeater bulbs are 5W, main indicator bulbs are 21W, same as brake, fog & reverse lights). Even if they'll pass IVA I would question being happy with them afterwards as in bright sunlight I would be worried people wouldn't se them.
Sorry if that P*sses on the parade & obviously all IMHO

Russ

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

very true Russ, never thought of the power output of them for some reason.
the other option is these
http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/prod/fsi.html
but they're a bit 80s

ReMan, headlights are the easy bit! Hella 90mm bi-halogens in aluminium boxes, bonded into the headlight panel, with polycarbonate covers
already got the lights, and the boxes can be done when i have the money

should turn out something like this professional artists rendition i got done lol

yep, but are they legal yet?
all the ones i've seen say not road legal, and are for fog lights.
if they were legal i'd get some, the headlights are the only filament bulb i've got at the moment (til i find out what happens with the front indicators...)

not sure i fancy them yet, at £30 each, and not legal

IMO It won't be long before there are LED headlights that are legal, but they probably won't be replacement 'bulbs' since the housings will need to be designed around them (like most projector style lamps in the more modern tin-tops).
