R1 & R6 Clocks

Hi guys, simple question really, but im sure the answer wont be as simple.....

My car is running a 5pw R1 engine but has a set of R6 Clocks fitted, would it be possible to change the clocks to a set of R1 clocks the same age as the engine and would it be a simple case of unplugging the r6 clocks and replacing them with a set of R1 clocks?

My car is a factory built MNR vortx and I believe it came with these clocks from the factory. When I look through pictures online of both sets of clocks they look identical, what I want to know is, is the pin configuration on the back of the R6 clocks the same as on a set of R1 clocks. Everything looks the same from the pics I have seen, just not sure if there is some wiring difference in the pin configuration.

Only really wanting to do this as the r6 clocks rev counter goes to 16k, but the R1 engine wont rev that much, plus I would prefer to have the correct clocks for the engine that is fitted.

Cheers for any help anyone can provide, or any links to where I could get a pin out wiring diagram for both sets of clocks!
