alternator
Hi everybody, i am building a 2.0l Zetec and was wondering what alternator to use? Also how to mount it to the block as the origional mount is
incorporated with the power steering pump etc, what are my options? any help will be much appreciated

Find a Denso alternator from a suzuki swift or daihatsu charade... They are sold by Brise brand new as 'racing' alternators. Put out about
50A which should be more than enough for a 7.
Make up a simple bracket to run it above the oil filter under the inlet manifold...
That's what I've done.

I've gone the Daihatsu Charade route with a Tiger bracket (pretty crappy - better getting one made). Have a look at my photo archive.
