Duratec crank position sensor wireing
Hi,
I'm wiring my Duratec 2.0 and have a rady built loom from Omex.
The Crank Position Sensor plug on Omex loom does not mach the sensor on Duratec. I have the original plug but not sure I can dismantle it and rewire.
Can I cut and crimp/solder wires to CPS ? Or to risky ?
One more thing - do I realy need a CPS aligment tool or just make sure the gap between the sensor head and tooth wheel is 1mm ?
I'm waiting for answer from Omex to my problem (is it possible they messed the plugs ? )

Hmmm, I would suggest they have put the wrong plug on it.
The "ready made" part of the loom implies that is should have the basic requirements to connect a to a Duratec. Let us know what they
say.

They usualy reply fast, so will post an update. I was surprised too, as all other sensors and connetions were plug'n'play (almost - wiring
diagrams on manual ar for semi-assmbled loom not the "ready" one - wiring of main realy is different, and fusing the ECU is not obvious).

answer from Alan from Omex :
"I am sorry that you have the wrong connector on your wiring loom. An adaptor to the correct connector will leave in the post today."
