Starter motor and alternator

Want to wire my starter up tomorrow, anyone got an idiots guide how to do this in terms or where the cable goes to and from

Also same for alternator, I have fia cutoff switch to sort

This really could not be simpler......big chunky wire to the large bolt on starter (if pre engaged starter not the one that has a wire already on it) to the battery. if the isolator is connected then the starter goes to on of its terminals and the other to the battery. for the starter iniator wire just connect the starter as above and fit to engine then take a temporary wire from the battery +ve terminal and touch one of the small connectors on the starter, one will cause the starter to kick in and start the engine to turn. that is the "starter" wire...simples......

The alternator connects via the large chunky charging wire to the battery OR the starter motors battery connection.....IT DOES NOT MATTER. the charge excite wire connects to an ignition switched live usually from the ignition switch to a bulb (battery light) and from the other bulb connection to the alternator.
