Do I need an anti run on valve
I am stripping out the wiring loom and planning to go to bike carbs so I suspect that I don't need to fit the anti run on valve am I correct?
Thanks

Bike carbs don't have them so I don't think there is any way you could fit one.

That was my thinking but clearly as ford think they are necessary for unleaded fuels there is some disadvantages in not fitting it. I assume it is
failure to stop cleanly but are people actually experiencing this? Remember Ford never fit anything if they can leave it off!

are you sure its not the alternator back feeding through the battery light in the dash. that is what usually causes run on as it keeps the ignition
system live when the key is removed. a simple diode from maplin in the batter light wire from the alternator will cure it

I'm using throttle bodies on my Xflow without an anti run on valve and have no problems
