temp sensor

Hi all,,,,,,,I need a water temp sensor that will work with my ms2 v3.....I got 1 from Dale @ bailey but droped something on it and broke the end off, I think they are GM but don't know from what car, a part number would be great.....thanks Gordon

I thought you could calibrate the megasquirt to the sender resistance?
What would be useful is to know the thread size required

You can use any, so long as the thread size fits the hole.

Then use tuner studio to reprogram the profile of the temperature to resistance.

You do this by measuring the resistance at three temperatures i.e. in the fridge 3 degrees, under your arm pit 34 degrees, and in steam 100 degrees measure the resistance at these three points and then enter the temp and resistance into the software and burn to the MS2.

Alternatively you could buy a GM one from Phil at Extra EFI.





Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

anyone know a decent supplier of the sensor & connector bundle

ExtraEFI site isnt Locost (total £40 for both sensors)

http://www.customcruisers.com do the bundle cheaper but want 8.50 post (£30 total)
