Koso rx1n speedo sensor

Got the kit out for the first time this morning for a run to work, set off with the speedo reading a bit erratic, got half way to work and it's just stopped reading, gone to 0

so where can i get a new sensor, and does it have to be the same magnetic type or can i switch to the proximity type?

Thanks
