zetec loom diagram

does anyone have a wiring diagram for a blacktop zetec using a mondeo loom?

i know you only need the very basics to get it running when using carbs.

Is it an eec-v as would have come with a black-top engine car ? They come in 60 pin Focus and 104 pin Mondeo flavour ? Both have the Pats Immobilizer and obd2.

Is it an older silver-top ecu. Again they come in 60pin and 104pin, with and without the immobilizer and with and with out Obd2 capability's.

Even with the black-top eec-v there are multi wiring diagrams depending on model spec and year.

You can get most of them to start an engine with the minimal of wiring but how will you monitor or know what its doing for your engine with regards to the ignition advance curve ?. The black top ecu will just go to a limp home mode. You will stand more of a chance with a pre-pats silver top ecu and ideally a 130ps spec ecu. Then you will need a minimum of the crank, coil and coolant temperatures to give you a 2d map.

The banger racers used to go for the very simple Esc ecu found on the 1.1~1.3 escort/fiesta engines. These are very basic and have just the crank and temp sensors along with the coil plug and have an in built map sensor to give all the info needed for a 3d map. These are black with a red top and look like an edis 4. Lots of the banger racers moved on from these as the rev limit is lower.

There are other Dis type ecu module's fitted to all sorts of fords but have the same basic priciples as above.

So to sum up what ecu have you got ?

Wow I only thought there were 2 different ECUs, I believe I have an early silver top one that does not have an immobiliser, which I plan to change some plugs so it fits on the blacktop!
