DigiDash help ?
Purchased a digidash 2nd hand and it worked fine for a short while but now has a problem,
When it powers up it throws a wobbler, occasionally it powers up ok but as a rule it........
Power on
Goes through the start up menu as normal, sequential warning lights lights etc......
Lower display shows as normal
Red LED display shows FLA (fuel level alarm) which it should until its reads the fuel level at which point it would normally go onto show
"0" speed
But before it gets that far ("0" speed) FLA flickers, goes off and the dash tries to re start immediately but never does, the LED shows
888 when it gets to that stage flickers then starts again, sometimes it just shows 1 x 8 to the left but again just try's to restart, it does
this repeatedly until turned off.
To date I have made sure all connections are sound, put a new earth just 6 inch long picking up immediately by the side of the dash, put a new 12+ve
connection feed taken directly from the ignition "on" relay again a very short run and 100% no interruption to the feed.
Any ideas, will ring ETB but there shut now just wondered if anyone as seen this and if so how did you cure it.

As a silly question youv checked all conections to and from fuel reader and tested for any shorts. Just a quick guess

I'd unplug all connections to begin with and leave just power, see how it behaves. Then power off and connect a connector at a time, powering
on each time. You might be able to narrow it down to one particular connection as a dodgy/leaky earth.

Not silly, I have tried this but not with any other sensors, will have a look see play.

I think I may have sorted it, removed fuel level alarm setting (set to zero) and its not done it since, its as if the alarm was making the dash take
to long to boot up and go into meltdown mode. Fingers crossed its been fine all day today at Cadwell.
