relay...that is the reason why the donor car had a relay....easy peasy to fit....
a quick and easy method to fit is to put it behind the dash where your switch is. Cut the wire that goes to the pump and put a spade connection on it
connect this to pin 85 on a 4 or 5 pin relay and connect pin 86 to earth......take the other end of the cut wire (from the switch to pump...) and fit
a spade terminal to it and fit to pin 87 on a 4 pin relay (and the same on a 5 pin NOT 87a!) pin 30 on the relay needs a power supply from a suitable
place and it needs a 30A fuse........
should sort your problem.
