Perhaps
You can see them better if they are angled towards you so you look straight at them.

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

They can be difficult to see in the Astra.. let alone mounted flush in a locost.

When i was recently at Mac#1 motorsport i noticed they fit the ETB digidash in a kind of pod that angles it towards the driver and also has a short
cover on top that extends forward (look like sun visor).
The purpose is to reduce sunlight glare and also make the shift lights and warning lights more noticeable when on th etrack so you dont have to take
eyes off the road. They have fitted them flush before but got the same problem you are getting.
I hope this helps.
Darren.

As Ben says, in direct sunlight, difficult in Astra...
I can still *just* make out mine in bright sunlight, as long as the perspex cover is clean. A layer of dust (often!) and it is impossible.
Perhaps try making some kind of visor for it?

How about making a tunnel in the dash, like on my Yaris? That, plus the curved glass that stops reflections, means that the only time I can't
see my instruments is when the sun's low and shining over my right shoulder, straight down the tunnel!

You can get the cover\tunnel from MAC1 and it makes the dash much easier to see, best to put on after SVA though as it sticks out.
