Circuit diagrams CAD
Hi
Does the collective know of a preferably free CAD program for drawing up circuit diagrams? I am just turning to electrical things and know that if I
do not write things down chaos will ensue.
Other issues - Any recommendations for a crimper for "Junior Timer"terminals?
What about a decent set of wire strippers - I am using Deutsch AS connectors so need to have an end stop?

I use Draftsight for CAD work (mainly building layouts for fire risk assessments) but can't see why it can't be used for circuit diagrams.
And it's free!

Draughtsight is good. I use it for schematics all the time.
For mini timers I squash the ears flat on tinned wire with long nose pliers and then solder up.
Duratec Engine is fitted, MS2 Extra V3 is assembled and tested, engine running, car now built. IVA passed 26/02/2016

Thanks for the tips on Draftsight - I will give that a go.
I have a solid mounted engine so probably too much vibration risk for soldered terminals - well according to all those websites selling expensive
tools....

Not used this myself as I have Altium but people I know and trust really rate it high

Microsoft visio is also worth a shout and is very user friendly. We've started using it in work to do our wiring diagrams instead of using the
ridiculously expensive licenses on Catia.
I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.

If you have an android device check out everycircuit not sure what the free version restrictions are now, but used to be a small working area which
might scupper it for your needs.
