Just broke down!
I am currently sat in the sun having just broken down. I was out for a last of the year blast, went to do an overtake, so down a couple of gears. At
this point my car died. Pulled over, and it has blown a 30a fuse, and keeps blowing them if replaced. I have very little tools, so only option is to
tow or trailer it home. Just had a very nice chap in a Caterham stop to help, which surprised me!
Oh and just for good measure, the Mrs is in Ikea and is uncontactable... Oh joy. Still at least it isn't raining!

Pretty big short to blow a 30a fuse. What does it feed. Might be worth just following the cable and see if it's rubbed through against something
while you're waiting... and don't forget, it'll be dark early now the clocks have changed.

Hopefully you get it sorted
Think about it, think about it again and then do it.

I may have found the culprit whilst waiting for the Mrs. This fuse is the main power feed to the engine loom via the ignition switch. My key is
mounted on the top of the tunnel. It appears that 7 years have taken their toll on the loom coming out of my ignition switch - I can see bare wire on
one, maybe two wires (smeared liberally with grease from the prop u/j and general grime). It will be a pig to repair as it is just where it enters
the ignition switch moulding (original bike ignition key). Not how I wanted to finish the season, but bloody glad I found it and as above, glad the
fuse did it's thing. One more job for the winter list!
