brake reservoir wiring
Hi how hard can it be ......anyone any ideas on wiring a focus brake reservoir warning switch (3 wires) to the mx5 loom (2 wires),
if I use 2 of the 3 I get the warning light illuminated with the float up or down, the same if I reverse the 2, try either of the 2 with the 3rd and
nothing at all.
Just thought I would ask before I go and get a mazda reservoir and make a new bracket
Regards Gary
remember we are not mad just creatively insane !!!!!

Do you own a voltmeter
If so, set to lowest resistance and draw circuit for the 3 wires,
Two of them will be connected to float switch (you measure resistance between wires with float in both pisitions)
Then repory back.
Unless someone has used the same part, it it futile to guess how to connect it.
Its been a while but i seem to recall the handbrake lamp being connected in order to test brake fluid level.

If the Focus is the same as a Sierra it's switching the negative side of light, and iirc one of the connections goes to handbrake switch.

Pin 1 is Ground
Pin 2 to dash warning light
Pin 3 Via handbrake switch to ground
