Fuel Sender for Acewell 3850
Hi guys, Has anyone got definitive advice on an aftermarket fuel sender that works well with the above Acewell? My Sierra sender has fallen to bits so
needs replacing. There are several float / arm type universal senders on ebay that look OK, plus Acewell's own but I fancy one of the boat dip
tube types. I've searched on here but can't find anything concrete.
Thanks
Stu

They will work with any fuel sender with a resistance of 0 - 100, 250 or 500 ohms. The 3xxx series is not "resistance reversible", so if
the boat sender works the opposite way, then at worst you'd have it reading full when empty & vice versa, would still be accurate tho'
just "upside down"
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Thanks Russ. Have ever used one of the ace well senders? Also, is 0 ohms full or empty?

I've never actually used one of the Acewell senders personally as we use the Toyota sender in our car, I've sold quite a few of them &
people have reported back as giving very steady & consistent readings
I believe it's 0 ohms for full with increasing resistance towards empty, but I can't remember for sure as all the newer gauges can be
reversed, as already said, in worst case gauge would work upside down, as long as you're aware of that it's not actually a problem as
should still be accurate, if particularly fussed you could put a signal inverter in the line

I'm no longer dealing with the parts side of business, only the cars, but if you speak to Oliver at Furore Products, info@furoreproducts.co.uk,
or furoreproducts@hotmail.com, 07905 879407, he should be able to supply you one, I doubt he'd have one from stock, but can get them in easily
enough, but I know Acewell are on a vacation shutdown this week, think they are back next week, discounts on these are miserly unfortunately!
