Toggle switches - how many etc.

Hi

As I intend not to use any stalks due to my paddle shift mechanism, I intend to mount a "bank" of toggle switches with rubber covers on top of the tranny tunnel just in front of the dash.

Just trying to make sure I don't forget any.

My tell tails will be the one's already present in the Fireblade clocks and that "Bright 6" little number.

So using simple toggle switches:

1) Indicators - ON/OFF/ON

2) Fog light - ON/OFF

3) Lights - OFF/ON/ON

4) Full beam - OFF/ON

5) Hazards - OFF/ON

6) Horn - OFF/ON

7) Fan over-ride - OFF/ON

Does that sound like everything I'll need?

3) Headlights on/off
4) Main Beam on/off

7) Start Button momentary on
8) Fan Overide on/off

Why is there a permanent live to the sidelights - ahh - so the lights some on without using your key - shouldn't this be the headlights as well - and the horn?

Bits that will throw/worry/stress me are the full beam/headlight switching thing and the hazard circuit - but I'll worry about them later.

Sidelights have to be operational with the ignition off, as do the hazards and horn.

Switching for hazards and main beam etc is not too bad, have a look at my wiring diagram which should help.

A quick question to you guys with the SVA manual.

I don't have the SVA manual itself, but direct access to the full EU regulations - In the regulations it states that switches of this kind (lights, etc) should carry a depictive symbol - not even the written word.

Is this the same in the SVA manual, or do you intentend to add symbol stickers or similar close to the switches.

I'll be putting stickers next to the switches and the tell-tales will all be correctly symbolled.

Fuel pump - that's another one.

Fuel Pump

Why not wire the fuel pump to the ignition circuit? So when the ignition is on, so is the fuel pump. Is there a down side to this?

EDIT: As for the fasher/hazard wiring, I used one of these. Some might snub their nose at the time-based flashing devices but it was the easiest solution I could come up with. Like you, I'm not using stalks.

I'd rather have control over the fuel pump so I can have all the electrics on, without the pump whirring away at the back all the time!

Surely it would be easier and better to have the fuel pump ign controlled so u dont run it dry by forgetting to turn it on?

It shouldnt pump once the pressures up anyway.

Shortie - did you do that wiring diagram?

If so, does it all work fine and would I be right in saying that you are using 6 relays and 6 fuses all together?
