knumbskull needing help

Please help if you can..

I have now put off the wiring for so long its the only thing left to do.........but I have just spent 5 hrs trying to get the old girl to turn over........
I need help explaining what colour wire goes from ignition to starter motor, coil, etc to get it fired up.
I have Sierra ignition with premier wiring loom (new) Instructions say red wire from loom to starter or battery. but what wires go to other connections on back of starter motor.

I can explain wire colours on ignition and new loom but for minute just need willing helpers ...Please reply to say you will help.

Thanks

Andy p

What's knumb ? Did you make it up. Didn't you get the laminated sheets with your loom explaining what goes where. I helped wire an XE with a Premier loom and I can't remember the colours now but it was pretty well covered in their instructions. Which Sierra ignition system are you trying to mate it to as there are several different ones. To just get it to turn over you need the battery red to the large bolt terminal and then a wire from the ignition switch connected to the blue/black to the little spade connector on the solenoid.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
