LED for Number Plate Lamp

Can you use these (in white) for the lamp? Would it be SVA safe?

They are cheap, light and last for ages, so has anyone else used em?

My mate used them for a mini and the MOT bloke failed the car just on the number plate LED lights. My mate argued that theres nowt to say they can't be used so the MOT chap had to pass the car.

Ha haa, those lamps he's selling at £7.50 each are more commonly found in the case modding section of ebuyer for £1.40!! and they aren't that effective, I know I bought some to make up an order I placed once. So please, dont use them

Depending on your bulb size you might be able to fit one (or two) of these. They are the latest generation of led bulbs and are super bright.

Those so called numberplate led lights are no good whatsoever.

I emailed litewave about this. He said they are legal as long as they are white, show up the whole plate and you cant see the bar(?)

They do LED bolts which are legal and work very well.

Will buy some and find out.

I thought they were just single led's mounted in a bolt head. Surely they just shine their light away from the mounting surface?
