Advice on my new dash pleeeeease
Hi I was surfing ebay after an earlier post about dashes on here and I spoted this dash ,I had a punt on it and I now own it.
Thing is its a bit more complicated than I had hoped. The wiring harness for it has all of its 15 wires in plain black wire.
Can any one on here shed any light on its wiring .A diagram would be tip top...
I would love to use it ,But if not ill stick it back on ebay
Any help would be greatfully received...
Oh yeh forgot its from a Radical SR3 sports car .Web says 2 versions where made both designed for bike engines.
They are bassed just up the road but im not sure they would give me the time of day..But as a last resort before reselling it ,ill ask......

I take it that its a custom race car dash...
Any information on the back like a manufacturers sticker??
Dont panic over it: im sure there will be some information on it somewhere.
Things that are for sure:
it will have a 12 volt permanent live (possibly ignition live, i spose).
It will have a ground connection.
things like rev counter are probably a square wave signal off the distributor, similar with the speedo off a gearbox sender (perhaps??)
It MIGHT all be analogue data connections, i.e. all of the display elements are driven by a 0-12volt signal.
If its 12 volt supply, none of the wires are going to complain about either being grounded, or having 12 volts applied to them, so you could keep
trying until it powers up and displays zeros. Then feed some signals into the other wires and see if you can get output.
let me know how it goes, and ping me back if you want any more madcap advice!!
Ed.
P.S. I have a degree in Avionic Systems Engineering, so I am not entirely uneducated in the ways of funny black boxes full of electrickery...!
I-iii-iii-iii-ts ME!
Hurrah.

Yeah, I was gonna say that.
Speak to Radical and see if the have a wiring diagram for the pins - I take it there is a big black multi plug on the back (if so, are they numbered)
