Lotus 7 Fuel sender
As title really. We are expecting a Lotus 7 at work tomorrow from a bodyshop that have asked us to replace the fuel sender. Why I have no idea. I
havent seen the car yet but told it is a Lotus but not sure how old. Anyway any ideas on where to obtain a fuel sender or what sender they use. It
would be nice just to get one and fit it rather than measureing resistances and making one fit.

make sure it isnt just a caterham being called a lotus! i met one chap who though he was building a real lotus 7!

That has crossed my mind. To be honest it could be anything. Knowing the bodyshop its not even a seven.
I was just trying to be a little prepaired. I have a horrible feeling for a simple job this is going to be a real headache and I'll have sitting
around for a while and this time of year its garanteed to get a flat battery after a couple of days and probably run out of fuel too.

I'm not sure but seem to remember that Caterham do infact do spares for Lotus cars, may be wrong, but a quick call to them would seem to be your
first bet. They would know where to get the bit required.

If it is a Lotus 7 I would think the sender is Mini Traveller/Clubman Estate/Van but the car was made 30+ years ago so it is anybodies guess.

Caterham Spares no. 01322 625801, don't expect too much help. Or you could try speedy cables, 01639 732299.
Lotus 7 changed to Caterham in 73. If it is a genuine Lotus 7 you may have fun finding the correct details. Very early 7s didn't have a fuel
guage, you had to dip the tank.
