Peugeot 206 rear fog light
I have currently got a big square fog light on a bracket. It sticks out quite a bit and ideally I would like something that I can fit flush with the
rear panel (yes, I know that it would be angled, but I've passed SVA now  ).
As an alternative to the usual aftermarket suspects I was wondering about Pug 206 - it's a different shape from most of the bunch and I have
gone for round hamburger main rear light clusters so it's a bit different from standard anyway.
...thing is, I don't know how big (=deep) a Pug 206 rear fog light is.
Does anyone know?/have a picture (e.g. Haynes manual)?/have one that they could measure? I can find face-on photos on Google, but not anything showing
the fixings.
Next question would be - where to get a "locost" one?

Off the topy of my head i'd say the reflector itself is about 2" deep, haven't got a bulb holder yet. Can get measurements later if
you require?
I got a Clear one off Ebay (£10 roughly) to use with a white bulb in as a reverse light, didn't twig that it wouldn't come with a bulb
holder, Doh

Yeah... basically I need the depth from the back of the red lens (which would be on the surface of the back panel) to the back of the refector...
plus it would be useful to know what sort of connector/plug goes on, and if that adds to the depth.

It will definately add to the depth of the light, i'd guess it to be about 3" with the bulb holder but will measure the depth of the
reflector for ya later

As suspected, about 2" from the rear of the lens to where the bulb holder would go.
Its held in place by 2 plastic clips on wither side of the refelctor and i'm guessing its pushed in from the front of the bumper and sits agains
a recess, and to release it you'd have to get your hand up the back, squeeze the clips and pop it out towards you.

OK, thanks. Since I can only just about get my fingers up between to lower rail and the bottom of the fuel tank I think that means I shouldn't
get one of these!
I'll look for alternatives, maybe one of the SVC round ones that sits in a housing... anyone got one going begging???

Think the Locost-est way would be to turn your existing light back upon itself under the fuel tank and out of the way if possible, until MOT time!
Or if it should accidently fall off, and be replaced shortly before the MOT.
Or after looking at the foto's of the back of your car, how about a High level L.E.D brake light strip accross the bottom under the
numberplate
(might even be able to run it as a brake light most of the time with a switch to change it into a foglight come MOT time or should it be foggy)
Do you really feel one is nessacery? don't think i'd fancy being out in the fog in a 7 to be honest!
