fuel tank earth??

Do i need to earth my fuel tank to chassis as i read somewhere that the filler pipe has a spiral wrap for earthing?? is this true

I have just run a wire (earth) from the cap to the chassis......just in case! it doesn't need to be spiro wrapped.

yep - earth the tank so the sender will work aswell. I have'nt eathed my filler nozzle though.

I made an earth connection from one of the sender screws to the chassis.
