Fireblade Speedo Not Working
I posted on here a while back about using the new style speedo sensor that bolts into the gearbox on the 98 blade, mounted externally on a 97 blade
with 2 magnets on the prop adaptor, A few people replied who had done this, and had been successful, unfortunatly i havent , any ideas why, will try
and get a picture of the way i have mounted it later.
I think I should also mention i am using the newer style clocks as well ( off a 98 blade)
Can i test the sensor with the multimeter in anyway?
Any Help Appreciated
Mike

Using the ohmeter side of the Multimeter - test for a fluctuation of resistance across the wires whilst rotating/passing the magnets across the
sensor. If this is satisfactory then at least you have a pulse and the problem is possibly with the clocks - probably the distance between the magnets
sensor tho'
Good luck!

Pink is common and feeds the speedo... therefore black (Live) and pink (return) or pink and green should give a signal. Sorry unaware of resistance
figure... but "some" would be useful. Honda are an incredible source of info. should you need it... give them a call or email from
website.

Are you using a speedo healer?
As you willl need one.
It's MNR that did it this way on AndyD (Rizla's) one.
