Seedo Magnets Dimple Orientation

Dimple against the meal or facing out into air?

Cheers,

If you're using ETB magnets then the dimple definitely faces out (towards the air).

Stick em on tight mind!

Cheers.

So inverted niples facing out it is!

After trying all sorts on the Avon, I think there is only one solution to fixing them on:

Blob of Sikaflex and then gaffa tape.

Tried glassing them on, araldite and a few other methods and they all failed on the Avon.

Gaffa tape on it's own was the only thing that eventually worked.

Don't think the Sika will ever let go though, but the gaffa on top should do the job.

I couldn't find that in the instructions - where does it say that?

Not questioning you, just curious as want to get it right.

Found it on the website:

"The magnets have small dots on one face. These denote the magnet North pole. The magnet
MUST be mounted with the dot facing down."

Dimple in on mine. Araldite was also crap. Softened after a while and magnet detached itself. i then fixed with Wurth superglue after getting down to bright metal and using Wurth high power cleaner. Then used JB weld for extra stiction. Been Ok since.
