Rover V8 Coil replacement needed
Right the bugger let me down last night luckilly it was right outside my mates house ( who happens to be a very savy grease monkey ).
Chris whith his special probe : o has deduced that my coil has gone poo poo.
I am running what i belive is the SD1 vitesse dizzi with the Amplifier Module ( a silver box ) mounted behind the coil.
My question is is there anything special about this coil ? or can I get one from the scrappies ? any suggestions for what would be best. Just want to
try another to check that it is the coil that has gon crap and not somthing else

If you used the SD coil did you use a ballast resistor? The original application uses a resistor wire that is not at all obvious, if you did not put
this in that is why the coil fried.
You can replace with just about any standard 12V coil if you do not have a ballast resistor, if you are using a ballast resistor or want to put one in
you need a standard 6V coil and there needs to be either a relay or another contact on the starter motor that connects to the coil during cranking.
