just wondering whether I should trim my zip-ties back or are they neat enough?

Aah, I see! I thought they were bonnet stays!
As most of my cars are held together with cable ties, jubilee clips and tank tape, I would like to know where you got those from. Those would
constitute a permanent repair as far as I'm concerned!

Am tranna remember a tip I got off a sparky once, think it was to trim then back with a Knife.
That way the ends are blunt, rather than sharp when they've been "sheared-off" to a sharp point with cutters.
So ya don't catch the back of your hand etc on the little stubby end! cos they can be pretty nasty!

Thought the 1st pic might have been a little close and large...
Never really noticed the 2nd pic, My god there HEUGE!
If our instalation/contracts side got hold of any that big they'd be holding boilers to the wall and 8" steam mains up with em!

none of the nuts on the cradle are FT'd as it were...

I'd say they're not big enough. Stop messing around with those piddley ones and get something a bit more serious on the job.
