Although an oddessey 680 battery is exactly the same as a redtop 25 !

Yup. Bike battery will be okay.... as long as you're nice to them.....
Bike batteries don't like to be ignored for too long- I think a fair few BECers use optimates etc.... I for one do as I went through two batteries (both dying after a couple of years) before getting the optimate...
Also don't give jump starts to other drivers- though to be fair that's not the battery it's the regulator..... which are also fragile....

agree with Ben and Hellfire fine batteries but trickle charge them with an optimate when left for a while

The oddessey and the red top will hold a charge for 2 years without charging and are a better bet long term.

Have to agree, well worth the extra money, i had two supposedly sealed bike batteries on mine they both leaked and died within a year. oddessey are dry cell and are amazing at holding charge.

I was regularly replacing my Goldwing battery every year (under guarantee) so I would go the Oddessy route in a BEC if budget will allow, because you will be drawing a little more current than a bike (twice the lights anyway). They still need to be trickle charged every few weeks though

Cheers,
Raz
