I once had a renualt 25,and the main fuse went,we could not find it anywhere, until it started to get dark and i flicked the ignition,we saw a small spark coming from the front engine bay by the headlights,,anyhow it was rated at 30amps..

I'm going to use a 70 amp main fuse for the whole system (excluding starter/alternator.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

30A is a little small for a main fuse IMO. I would use a 50A

rover metro and 200 series are a good source for a small mega fuse block
think it holds up to 4 big blade fuse's
and is quite neat, and the mounting clip is easily attached to the battery clamp bar

allows you carry a spare or too as well

Fuses

Vauxhall vectra mk1 is my source of loom fuse,
box by battery containing 5 x 60A maxi fuses, 1 20A fuse.

For your first try of the loom use a battery charger as these are limited to 8A max.

Almost finished my loom, has anyone used the modular rockers on their car - are they sva compliant?

Thanks
Darren
