Vauxhall vectra abs
After reading the long abs thread a while back, i`m a bit afraid to say i`m using the kesley hayes abs unit from a vectra (mk1).
My logic being that it being a good system, it will only kick in when I panic brake (very rare but i admit i have: mobile speed cameras on M20, idiot
pulling in front of me when wet).
I was wondering if anyone knows what the blue/red wire does, I believe it is a speed output. If so anyone knows how many pulses per mph?
I`m designing my own digital dash and prefe r to either use a gearbox speed transducer or the abs, rather than prop magnets.

Forget trying to use ABS. ABS has to be exactly taillored for the vehicle it is used on, a few years ago I was following a thread in another forum,
this topic was discussed in great detail by a development engineer for one of the big two US manufacturers. He passed on the wisdom that his company
takes 10 times the development and test man hours to taillor the ABS system for a new model that it takes to taillor the EFi system.

Yeah, i can believe that.
I have got it wired in already, will have a "Fun" switch, so i`ll a least try it out. If it is bad i`ll junk it.
One reason i chose a vectra abs unit is that it has a g sensor to compensate for mid corners etc, rather than just wheel speed sensors.
My car is more tvr than locost so it is a closer match than most people will have here.
