electricery problems?

Hi all,

following on from my other thread I have a few problems I hope someone can help with.

1. Indicators - Hazrads work, but indicators don't, I'm using siera stalks

2. Fuel gauge - It is working bur isn't seemingly the right scale for thesender i.e. the needle hardly moves on a 3/4 full tank? can this be adjusted using resistors or something?

3. water temp gauge - this worked fine when I first tested the engine a number of weeks ago, but now i've fitted it in the dash it doesn't seem to ever get much above 40 F? any ideas?

4. the speedo - I need to calibrate this and set up the hall effect thingy, but I'm a bit confused I have the callibration table from CAI, but don't really understand

apart from that everything seems fine!!!

many thanks

What kind of loom do you have?

If its like mine, there are two possible places to stick your flasher unit, one works, and the other doesn't depending on the flasher you have.

You could also check your stalks are working, you can do this by removing the plug and connecting the wires manually. Mine had corroded and stopped working as a result.

Hazards/Indicators are internally linked on Sierra elecrics. If you don't join them it's a right barsteward to get them to operate as they should...

Fuel Guage - depends on your sender. It can be recalibrated manually (bending arm) or elecrically.

Water Temp Guage - sounds like a dodgy earth.
