You may not need one! It has a built-in rev limiter that you can set - when you reach the limit, the ignition timing is retarded to 0 degrees... it's hard to go past that point, believe me...

Brent Picasso (the MJ creator) has said that he is trying to design a hard rev limiter - but it doesn't exist yet.

HTH,
David

It's a sort of soft cut. It retards the ignition as said above. I had a version built that did incorporate a hard cut limiter for my grasser.

The rev limiter is great, when you hit the limit, it just doesn't want to rev anymore.

It's rather annoying though, when you install a new engine and spend ages wondering why it doesn't want to rev, then finding out the rev limiter (somehow) is set at 2k

As stated the soft cut works well , I found it to be good on both my crossflow and zetec installations. If you wanted a hard cut it would be possible to just use the output to pull in a relay and cut the supply to the coil but its not a favored method as it can cause miss timed ignition pulses as it breaks the connection but in practice is unlikely to cause any real problems as you should change up at the soft limit rather than bouncing off the hard cut.
