minimum wiring to start

Morning all

Just about ready to start the car for the first time (hopefully over the bank holiday) and that means dealing with the dreaded wiring using a Vicki Green loom.

The engine bay is wired, distributor, coil alternator etc and just needs a battery and associated leads. no fuel pump as using a mechanical for now.

Am I correct that to start the car the minimum wiring I'd need is the ignition switch? no relays etc?

If not what else would need wiring dash wise to test start the car?

When it comes to wiring I'm an absolute idiot so any help much appreciated.

Cheers
Nigel

Be warned that their is a error in the Vicky Green wiring diagram around the column switches. Have a search, it's been covered in the past.

Use good quality switches and no relays are required.
