Electric switch pull on handbrake.
Just anyone have any details about a electric 'handbrake' that replaces the manual handbrake operation.
On some modern cars you push a switch that applies the handbrake....how does this work and what is needed to replace the manual handbrake....anyone
got any drawings.....what are the pitfalls....
Just thinking that is all......

tim my cmax has exactly that arrangement
Pull a switch up to apply push down to release also comes on if you take the keys out of the ignition and havent applied it.
Not sure how it works tho but seems very coplicated and probably weighty for a kitcar
I suspect there is a motor which tensions the cables to apply the parking brake.

Electric handbrakes are the single most ridiculous devices to be fitted to modern cars IMO.
What a great idea to remove the simplicity and reliability from the secondary braking system and replace it with something that is bound to go wrong
and cost a fortune to fix, yet provide no actual benefit.
