Sierra ECU mounting...

To anybody running a pinto with Sierra ECU - is the ECU isolated from the chassis.

I pulled my ECU off my donor over a year ago and modiied the bracket to get rid of the ABS computer that shared it and now can't remember what I removed in the way of fixings.

Can I just bolt the metal bracket to the chasis and clip the ECU in or does it have to be isolated from the chasis on rubber/plastic mounts?

It doesn't have to be isolated, from the chassis. Mine sit on top of the tunnel and is bolted to the chassis.

If you look at the dash piccies in my archive, you can see the ecu.
Cheers

Scott

The ECU has plenty of earth wires as is, so it is not necessary to earth the cradle. My cradle is mounted onto the fibre glass scuttle and therefore isolated, it runs fine.
