Regulator to Battery Cable Size (BEC)

Hi All

I've upgraded to a later R1 engine and I believe the generator / regulator etc is a higher output version - the spec says it's a 50 Amp rectifier - I've completed the rest of the loom except for the wiring from the rectifier to the master switch (relay). From the old loom I've got two lengths of cable 25 amp continuous current carrying capacity. Do you think these will be OK?

Regards

Wyn

I think that way as well, way I see it is there's more surface area available to cool the wire so it's safer. Just watch the solder joint is good enough, I tend to use two connectors rather than trying to stuff the two cables ends into one.
