Fuel sender
In my bordom at work over the last few days (in the office, not out delivering) i have been buying some parts that i dont need yet but have the money
for.
I have bought
one of these, and will need a
fuel sender.
Any suggestions as to what will fit in a locost fuel tank?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

I can tell you that a Series 3 Land Rover sender will work providing you fit 80 ohm in series.
full = 20 m
empty = 340 ohm
(do the sums and current works out pretty close to your gauges values).
BUT beware there are quite a few flavours of this LR guage - you need to find out which way round the empty/full values are as the LR guages are
available in both ways (i.e. epmty = low or high ohm).
BTW the arm can be customised - i.e. cut to length and soldered using plumbers solder and shaped too so it will fit.
