Fuse box & relay location

I'm about to start doing the electrics and was wondering if there are any preferances for fuse box & relay location and any SVA rules....?
Under the dash is best for wiring but not realy good when it comes to changing fuses or fault finding, any advice or pics appreciated.

Cheers Kosmo.

mine is behind the panel between the dash and transmission tunnel; if I were fitting it I would put it insdie the engine bay on the bulkhead.

Mine's on the engine side of the bulkhead, next to the battery. Wiring comes out of the back of it and straight through a hole into the loom on the passenger side.

My fuse/relay box has a lid with a good seal, so it's fairly well protected from engine gunge.

Pics of mine in my archive but in the end of the day if you've bought a loom you'll be tied to where it'll go by the cable lengths.

If it looks wrong it probably is wrong.

Interesting ideas - I've just spent the last coupe of days deliberating over this. Was gonna go with fusebox in the engine bay but I do like the idea of having it all accessible in the centre console.
Nice one Omega

Mine is underneath the dashboard on a hinge to allows easy access to change fuses. if you look in my archive (dash pics) you can see the passenger side where the fusebox is, it is just held up with a bolt.

My fusebox in engine bay beside battery and isolator that is fixed through the firewall. Relays are all on a bracket behind dash above steering column as that's as much length as I had on the steering column loom.

I wont be limited to loom length as I'm making my own and intergrating with the bike loom...... Probably going to mount on bulkhead but I like the sound of a hinged panel under dash ?

Thanks
Kosmo.
