auto electrical help please

whats the differance on the ignition switch between

bat:- ok i know this one
starter:- and this one
ign:-
acc:-

ign = normal running position - the ignition's on. Alternatively, it may be the position that bypasses the ballast resistor so that the coil gets as near to 12v as possible when the starter's cranking.

acc = accessories - radio, etc. They get cut off when you move to the start position.
