Headlamp Wiring
Does anyone have a simple diagram for wiring my lights or can explain it very simply, I just don't know where to start. I've 2 headlamps
(surprise!) and Sierra switch gear. I know what pins are what but I guess there'll be some kind of relay(s) in there?

Depending on which switches you've got (what vintage) there might not be relays! scary but true. I added them afterwards....
Have you got the Sierra wiring diagram? u2u me if not It's easy to work backwards from that...

With my 'H' reg Sierra column switches (window wiper on right hand side ) I realised from studying the Haynes diagram that there is a live
feed comming out the switches that can be used to feed the side lights, but becasue the dip and main beam wires on the swiches are so small they are
only used to make earths for the dip and man beam relays via the the column.Mine got a bit complicated but that was the base of it. two lives feed to
each of the above relays, one feed to the light bulb and the earth for the coil inside the relay to the column. If you are stil lstruggling I can see
if I can find my old diagram.

In my archive you will find the pin-outs of the Sierra switches .... if that helps.
Oh and definitely go with relays - a little more complicated but it saves overloading the switches and letting the smoke out of them

Yeah I have the pinouts already its just what relay do I use and whereabouts in the great tangled mess do they go? i.e. what wire goes to what
terminal. Like I say I know very little about electrics, it just constantly evades e
