Sierra Ignition Switch

On my ignition switch, there are 4 wires - red, black/blue, black/yellow, and yellow.

The wires from the Premier loom match up, except for the yellow wire, which is absent.

So what's it for? Any ideas, out there?

Have been plodding thru the Haynes manual, and the only ig switch shown, has 3 wires !!!

I seem to recall that it’s a live supply for accessories eg radio – not sure if its a switched or permanent live.

The yellow wire is the first position on the switch which is meant as ^^^ for radio etc. when the engine isn't running. I see no use for it in my car so it's taped up

Thanks guys. Finally found the right wiring diagram in the Haynes book, and the yellow wire does indeed seem to be purely for I.C.E. stuff.
