Poorly Indicators

Can anyone help with my ongoing electrickery issues. This one is to do with the indicators. I have the fronts earthed to the battery the rears to the chassis and the side repeaters tee into the front wires and earth on the chassis. All work off the original bike relay and work fine but when I plug my zx9 clocks in and put the indicator on both arrows on the display are dim and both flash at once?
I have (at the moment) a jump lead from engine to battery earth to keep things earthed. If I take this off then the oil pressure and neutral light start flashing with the indicators. Its all messed up!
Any ideas would be appreciated.

i had a similar prob and it turned out to be a very simple fix

basically i had wires hanging all over the place and one of the front lights wires was resting on the chassis causing a weak signal

so i would check the simplest thing first as i was ready to rip my loom apart

hope you get it sorted as it is very

cheers

Thanks mate I'll give that a go. I'm at the point of ripping the whole loom out and strating again too.
I was thinking of a short pole to pole as both dash indicators were flashing at once instead of the left flashing when left indicators are on and vice versa.

Sounds like a bad earth to the cluster to me.

I'd have a look at the multiplug and failing that run a temporary earth straight from battery to the cluster.

Third the bad earth.
Stuff glowing dimly usually means juice being diverted down the wrong path by a dodgey earth!!!

Sorted it! I stripped the loom back and found that it wasn't a bad earth. It was no earth! I'd forgot to join two ends together. I must stop drink wiring. Cheers fellas
